iheed Institute, an Irish organization dedicated to supporting and promoting innovation in health education, is seeking to fill an intern position at its offices in Mitchelstown Co. Cork. We are looking for a candidate of exceptional ability and flexibility who is willing and able to contribute in a fast-paced start-up organisation. Good presentation skills, energy and commitment are a pre-requisite. We are particularly interested in candidates with experience and some technical knowledge of social media. A background in and familiarity with the issues of Global Health is required and field experience from a developing country would be a distinct advantage. Some international travel is required.
Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer this intern role will equip the successful candidate with experience in; developing a social media strategy for a not-for profit organisation; planning and delivering social media projects ; supporting mobile and / or web-delivered health education projects; supporting the planning, promotion and delivery of a major international mHealth conference. The internship is a rare opportunity to contribute from day 1, learn from experienced professionals and develop relations with some of the biggest organisations in the not-for-profit and Global Health world. For the right candidate we are willing to be flexible around start date, though our preference is for a candidate starting as soon as possible.
