Dr Nicholas Van De Water

Dr Nicholas van de Water completed his initial medical training in South Africa. Soon after this, he joined a GP practice in a town with a large amount of big industry and was there exposed to occupational health for the first time. He initially pursued a post graduate diploma in occupational health (DoH; UCT) but with a hunger to know more about the field he continued to a full specialisation in occupational medicine (MMed (Occ Med); UCT). He moved to Ireland in 2020 to join a private dedicated occupational health provider where he now holds the role of Lead Physician in his local practice. He has received recognition of his specialisation in Ireland and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland. He has a passion for growing the field of occupational medicine through education and training of medical professionals in and about the field.
