Dr Patrick Carr


Dr Patrick Carr graduated from Trinity College Dublin and completed his basic General Internal Medicine training in the St James’s Hospital group. Along with holding a Membership to the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland (MRCPI), he also holds Membership to the Faculty of Occupational Medicine (MFOM). He additionally holds a Masters in Healthcare Management, along with a Postgrad Cert in Workplace Wellbeing and an Advanced Diploma in Medical Law. 
 
Dr Carr has Occupational Medicine experience across a variety of fields, ranging across healthcare, pharmaceutical, banking, construction, and police services. He has interests in sleep medicine, driving medicine, mental health, and workplace wellbeing. He is especially interested in physician wellbeing, in which he has previously published. He served as the Chair of the RCPI Trainee Health and Wellbeing Committee from 2023 - 2025. During his time as chairperson, he completed a wide range of projects to try further trainee wellbeing within the RCPI including developing and expending the taught Wellbeing Program with in the RCPI, as well as teaching on the Thriving in BST program.
