Aish Chalise

Ais Chalise is a Diabetes Specialist Nurse with over a decade of experience dedicated to improving diabetes care. She leads an inpatient diabetes team in the NHS, driving innovations such as self-administration of insulin, effective management of hypoglycaemia and patient-centred care tools.  

Aish has a keen interest in insulin pump therapy and diabetes technologies, has been involved in research on GLP-1 agonists, and is actively involved in weight-loss services for patients at high cardiovascular risk.  

She holds a Masters in Diabetes Care, is a non-medical prescriber, and speaks English, Nepali, and Hindi—enabling her to support diverse communities. Her work has earned multiple awards and recognition for raising awareness and improving patient outcomes.  

Outside work, Aish loves running and outdoor activities and enjoys spending time with her young family.
