Dr Fatema Qambar

Dr. Fatema Qambar is a Consultant Family Physician based in Bahrain, board-certified in Family Medicine by the Arab Board of Health Specializations and the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland. She holds an MSc in Diabetes Care from the University of Warwick (UK). 
She has over a decade of clinical experience in primary care, managing a wide range of acute and chronic conditions. Her focus is on the management of diabetes mellitus and has an interest in obesity management and its role in reducing cardiometabolic risk. 
Dr. Qambar’s research interests focus on diabetes and its associated complications. In 2022, she published a study in the Journal of Healthcare Sciences, titled "The prevalence and management of renal impairment in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus in specialized diabetes clinics in Primary Care in the Kingdom of Bahrain". 
She is also passionate about medical education and worked as a part-time clinical tutor in the family medicine rotation for students at medical school (2021-2025), with a focus on the implementation of evidence-based diabetes guidelines in real-world clinical settings.
