Dr Lyndsey McConnell
Dr. Lyndsey McConnell works as a GP in the Highlands of Scotland. She also works as a GP with a Special Interest in Diabetes in Glasgow, Scotland.
Her hospital outpatient diabetes clinics provide care to people living with type 2 diabetes. She enjoys the challenge of managing patients with complex type 2 diabetes and working within the MDT.
Lyndsey developed an interest in diabetes early in her general practice career, and she undertook an MSc in Diabetes to further her knowledge. She enjoys the fast pace of therapeutic developments and the evolving evidence base for newer therapies. She is involved in diabetes education and is on both the Scottish and National Committee for the Primary Care Diabetes and Obesity Society (PCDO). She is involved in both the development and delivery of their annual conference.
Outside of work, Lyndsey enjoys the outdoor life, mountain and road biking and boxing. She takes part in Tough Mudder challenges, deadly dozen and Mctuff. She has a motorhome and enjoys van life.
