Dr Abimbola Ayorinde


Dr Abimbola Ayorinde (Abi) is an Associate Professor at the University of Warwick with extensive experience in primary research and evidence synthesis. She holds a Master’s degree in Health Services and Public Health Research and a PhD in Epidemiology, both from the University of Aberdeen.

Abi has led and contributed to numerous research projects and actively supervises both undergraduate and postgraduate student research. Her work focuses on tackling health inequalities. She co-leads the Inequalities, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion and Public Involvement themes at the NIHR Policy Research Unit in Reproductive Health and serves as academic lead for the Evidence Synthesis Team within the NIHR Health Determinants Research Collaboration in Coventry.

Her teaching spans both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including the coordination of research-focused modules. A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), Abi is passionate about supporting students to develop rigorous research skills and apply evidence to clinical and public health practice.
