Dr Bijetri Biswas
Dr Bijetri Biswas is a lecturer, researcher, and clinician with expertise at the intersection of digital health, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence in healthcare. She recently completed her PhD in Digital Health and Care at the University of Bristol, where her research explored remote sleep monitoring and soft robotic design for individuals with neurodegenerative disorders.
Her academic and clinical background spans neuropsychology, computational neuroscience, and AI applications in medicine. She has held roles across higher education and the NHS, including Honorary Cognitive Disorders Associate at North Bristol NHS Trust and Lecturer in Health and Social Care, Psychology, and Innovation in Healthcare.
Bijetri specialises in EEG diagnostics, neuropsychiatric assessment, and the design and evaluation of digital health technologies. She has published widely on digital health, sleep medicine, VR and soft robotics in leading venues such as CHI, CSCW, MTI, JMIR, and Sleep Medicine. She is an Advance HE Fellow (FHEA), recognising her commitment to teaching excellence. She has also gained applied experience in robotics development and digital health innovation through collaborations with industry partners.
With her interdisciplinary expertise and clinical grounding, Bijetri is passionate about equipping health professionals with the knowledge and confidence to engage with AI technologies, from early diagnosis and monitoring to patient-centred care.
