Dr Karen Wallace is a GP-turned-healthcare leader working at the intersection of clinical governance, innovation, and digital transformation. She is Director of Clinical Partnerships & Innovation at Maximus UK, where she holds the statutory Responsible Officer remit for doctors and provides executive leadership across clinical governance, service design, and transformation within independent healthcare and employability services. Karen has extensive experience supporting large, multidisciplinary clinical workforces and embedding safe, ethical, and effective practice across complex organisations. Her current work focuses on AI and digital health adoption, exploring how emerging technologies can be implemented with strong clinical oversight, clear role expectations, and robust governance in regulated environments. Alongside her industry role, Karen is completing an MBA, with research centred on frameworks for successful AI adoption in healthcare organisations.
