Samina Hasnain


Samina Hasnain is a public health physician with an MBBS degree from Karachi University and a Master’s in Public Health degree from London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. Samina started her career in Hamad Medical Corporation as an internal medicine physician. Later, she joined the Ministry of Public Health in Qatar where she worked in the communicable diseases control department for over 9 years. She was the lead for the vaccinations, measles rubella congenital rubella syndrome, polio, meningitis control and elimination programs. She was also a lead in the contact tracing team during the COVID -19 pandemic. She has taken part in many missions and trainings led by the World Health organization (WHO). 

 Currently, she is working as an immunization specialist at the Primary Health Care corporation in Qatar. 

She has had extensive teaching experience with healthcare professionals and students in the various institutions she has worked in. As part of the iheed teaching faculty, Samina delivers modules with the University of Warwick Master’s in Public Health and Health Promortion, as well as with the RCPI Professional Diploma in Infectious Diseases.
