Dr Dominic Carr
ST5 Paediatric Registrar
Dominic Graduated from Cambridge University in 2014 and has trained in Paediatrics in London for the last five years.
Dominic is a senior paediatric registrar in a busy London teaching hospital. He is currently working as a Clinical Research Fellow investigating the long-term cardiovascular outcomes of extremely preterm neonates at Imperial College London. Dominic also has a special interest in the acute care of critically unwell children and neonates, along with paediatric and congenital cardiology.
Alongside his clinical work, Dominic co-chairs a pan-London, trainee-led research network to support high-quality, multi-centre research. Dominic also enjoys teaching students across a range of paediatric specialities. He has founded a paediatric conference at Cambridge University, led a multi-disciplinary simulation programme, has a paediatric podcast series and teaches webinars for students of the GMC PLAB Examination.
Dominic has earned several awards for teaching, acute leadership and supporting colleagues. He teaches regionally on working conditions and currently sits on the UK British Medical Association Junior Doctor Council. Outside of work Dominic is a keen rock climber and traveller, and has an intermediate qualification in wine tasting.
