Jayne Hodgkiss


Jayne Hodgkiss is an Assistant Professor at the University of Warwick in the UK working in the Diabetes Team, she also works as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a large Teaching Hospital. Her main areas of Clinical Practice are Diabetes in Pregnancy. At the University of Warwick Jayne is the Course Director for the Post Graduate Certificate and Post Graduate Diploma in Diabetes, she also teaches on and supports the Level 5 ‘Improving Diabetes Care’ course. Jayne gained her MSc in Health Sciences (Diabetes) at the University of Warwick in 2010.

Outside of her teaching and clinical role Jayne is a School Governor at a local Primary and Secondary School, she has been involved in this role for over 12 years and feels it’s a real privilege to have such an insight into children’s education.

In any spare time, there is nothing better than spending time with her own children, now teenagers, family, and friends, plus pottering in her garden where there is always work to do.

Jayne has enjoyed the different teaching dimension that iheed has bought to her role in recent years, plus the support and guidance she has been able to give to students from different countries.
