Jane Evans

Jane Evans, DrPH is the National Director, Improvement and Experience at St Vincent’s Health Australia (SVHA), Australia’s largest not-for-profit healthcare provider. SVHA delivers public and private acute and subacute services, as well as aged care, across the eastern seaboard of Australia.

With more than 30 years’ experience spanning hospital services and government, Jane brings deep expertise in the design, leadership, and delivery of large-scale improvement programs. She has led system-wide transformation initiatives across three major health services and at a statewide level in Victoria, with a strong focus on sustainable performance improvement and measurable outcomes.

Jane holds a Doctorate in Public Health, underpinning her commitment to evidence-based practice and rigorous problem-solving methodologies. She is recognised as a strategic and values-driven leader who inspires clarity of purpose and alignment across all levels of an organisation. Central to her work is a steadfast focus on improving care delivery processes, ensuring that patient and resident experience and outcomes remain at the forefront of decision-making.

In 2017, Jane was named among the Top 50 Most Influential Women in the Public Service by the Institute of Public Administration Australia (IPAA). This recognition celebrates exceptional female leaders who build high-performing teams and deliver meaningful transformation across local and state government in the Victorian public sector.
