Kanita Brits
Kanita Brits is a lecturer and health professions education specialist working at the intersection of medical education and educational technology. She teaches across postgraduate programmes in health professions education, including the MPhil in Health Professions Education at Stellenbosch University and the MSc in Medical Education with iHeed/University of Warwick. In these roles, she supports health professionals in developing their teaching practice, strengthening their understanding of learning theories, and effectively applying educational principles in diverse clinical and academic contexts.

She has experience helping lecturers integrate digital tools, design online and hybrid curricula, and build interactive, learner-centred experiences across the health sciences. Her interests focus on how learning technologies can enhance teaching, assessment, and faculty development, particularly within clinical and professional programmes where meaningful, well-designed learning environments directly impact practice
