Sean is the Programme Manager for the MSc. in Medical Education for Healthcare Professionals with the University of Warwick. He is particularly interested in quality assurance and change management, drawing on his faculty’s wealth of experience and knowledge to establish novel methods to improve the programme.
He has worked in education for over 10 years in countries from Georgia to Kazakhstan to Algeria. In 2018, he moved from teaching English into teaching Academic Writing, Research Methods, and Sociology. Now he tries to bring this experience to support the students on their academic journey, particularly those returning to study after a long break or those whose first language is not English.
He has a background in Constitutional Law and Linguistics and is coming to the end of his PhD in Cognitive Linguistics, where he has been researching the science of reading.
His other interests are in learning languages, speaking Russian and French, as well as literature.
