Family Medicine Capacity Consultancy
iheed was engaged by the Ministry of Health, in a country in the GCC, to deliver an in-depth report benchmarking Family Medicine Residency programmes against international standards.
The Ministry seeks to increase the number of Family Medicine graduates from 300 annually to over 1,000 annually by 2030. The overall objective of the iheed engagement was to advise the Ministry, and its stakeholders, on recommendations to increase the capacity of Family Medicine residency programmes.
As part of the delivery iheed, along with its partner, the Irish College of General Practitioners evaluated the key strengths and areas for improvement for five family medicine training programmes in the country.
The report provided observations and recommendations for strengthening these programmes and cost effectively increasing capacity. The report also made recommendations for the establishment of a Family Medicine Academy.
The entire audit and report was completed within 1 month.
